Retrofit kits: supplied and installed through a partner yard
A solar-electric propulsion kit is not a box we mail out. It is a system designed for your specific boat and then supplied and installed through a partner yard under a separate agreement. When you engage us for a kit, the work is priced as a design engagement against your brief, and the physical supply and installation are carried out by the yard that fits it. Because nothing is shipped to a customer’s door, there is no delivery window on this page and no parcel to return — the terms that cover supply, workmanship, and warranty live in the yard agreement for your project, where they can be written to match the actual work.
Design services: digital work, non-refundable once begun
Our design and advisory services — a brief review, a full system design package — are digital professional work. There is nothing to ship: you receive documents and our informed opinion. Because that work begins the moment we start it, fees are non-refundable once the work is under way, exactly as each service’s own product terms state before you buy. If something about a deliverable is not what was agreed, tell us and we will put it right — but the basis is the scope we agreed, not a return.
Components: buy them at the chandlery
Individual marine components — the parts, not a designed system — are sold through our sister chandlery at mooring.ca. Those are physical goods with ordinary shipping and returns, and they are handled entirely under that site’s own policies. If you are looking to buy a component off the shelf rather than engage a design, that is the place to do it.
